Engaging Local, Small Businesses
CSU hosted the community for the Grand Opening of the second building on its campus in the Globeville, Elyria, and Swansea neighborhoods on June 8th. The big event included business opportunities for The Ethiopian Food Truck, Taco Block Food Truck, and local band Los Mocochetes, among others.
This deliberate choice to engage local diverse businesses is now becoming a standard part of the CSU Spur Team’s approach to its work. Their commitment to local diverse vendors builds community and keeps dollars circulating locally. It makes business sense and is consistent with CSU’s commitment to being a good neighbor with a strong commitment to its community across all of its business operations.
